A “social stroll”, in Caunsall and Cookley. We will take advantage of the long daylight hours by starting at the Anchor, Caunsall at 6pm. By happy coincidence, we are visiting our Cider Pub of the Year during CAMRA’s newly designated cider month! The Anchor always offers real Barbourne cider straight from the barrel, as well as being in the Good Beer Guide for its range of cask beers.

From there, it is about 1,100m (20 minutes’ stroll) via lane or riverside path to our second pub, the Eagle at Cookley, which we will reach at 7:15pm. The Eagle serves several cask beers in very good nick.

Finally at 8pm we will enjoy CAMRA’s Worcestershire Club of the Year, Cookley Sports Club. With a handful of cask beers served in excellent condition, the Club (another Good Beer Guide entry) is 300m/5 minutes’ walk from the Eagle.

Come and do as much or as little of the stroll as you wish, there is no pressure (apart from our anchorperson) to adhere to these timings.
