Micropub conveniently situated between the station and the town centre, it opened in 2016 and quickly established a reputation for excellent quality beers and a convivial atmosphere. The single room has a mixture of barrel furniture, pub and high tables, with plenty of conversation and banter around the room. Customers may bring their own food. Table service is the norm as beers are served to order from the cool room. A chalk board shows four real ales sourced from around the country and, from March 2019, four craft beers including KeyKeg. Four ciders and two perries, an interesting selection of bottled continental and foreign beers, quality wines and soft drinks ensure there's something for all tastes. Local CAMRA Gold Cider Pub of the Year 2019 for its interesting and varied selection of real ciders without additives or concentrates. Opens Wednesday to Sunday (not weekday lunchtimes). Cycles may be parked in the area at the back. Ask inside if rear door is locked.
