Cock & Magpie2 Severn Side North
See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Near the bridge and overlooking the River Severn the pub has two bars, tables on the riverside and an upstairs function room. Unusual steam punk pipework and diner-style seating add an interesting dimension to one of the bars. A model train suspended from the ceiling runs around between the two bars. To add to the American diner style, the menu is gourmet burgers and hot dogs and if that's not for you, there's fish and chips. The burgers are magnificent creations that are higher than they are wide - a meal in themselves. And for traditional fare at the end of the week, Sunday lunches are available. Live music and entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays in the upstairs lounge is always popular. Beers are from the Marston's range including EPA and sometimes Boondoggle or Jennings.
