A charming free house that is very convenient for the Severn Valley Railway and by footbridge across the Severn from Upper Arley village. In the last week of June and into July there's a 40s theme featuring old army vehicles, uniforms and music, and also a music festival over August Bank holiday weekend. Live music every weekend during summer. Food available all day includes sandwiches, main meals and a children's menu. Steak night on Tuesdays and Thursdays, carvery on Sundays. There is also an ice cream and cakes counter. Winter hours are from noon until 9. Two real ales from Wye Valley and two changing beers, one in winter.
