Victorian pub offering lunchtime meals and conversation. It's at the top of the main street, just past St Anne's church, and was extensively renovated and improved in 2024 by Valliant Pubs. There is a lounge bar and a pleasant secluded beer garden at the back. It offers light meals, ciabattas, wraps and baked potatoes during the day. The pub is set for conversation, with no TV screens or piped music, and there are social activities such as quizzes, dominoes and crib. Live music is provided by solo or duo artists. The Wainwright on handpull is keg beer, not cask.
