Kidderminster Beer and Cider Festival 2016

The 2016 Beer and Cider Festival was on the

26th-28th May

at Kidderminster Town Hall

This year's festival celebrated the canals and the 250th anniversary of the Act of Parliament, allowing construction of the staffs and worcester canal that passes through Kidderminster.

There were 54 beers and 15 Herefordshire and Worcestershire ciders, food, snacks and entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The entertainment line-up this year featured, on the Friday, Ellisha Green who recently won Best Composition, Best Solo Singer and overall winner of Wyre Forest Young Musician of the Year in January’s Youth Showcase Competition. She played at last year’s beer festival and went down a storm – and she did so again this year!

Tasting Sessions

On Saturday afternoon the ever-popular Guided Beer Tasting was sold out. It was enjoyed by those that enjoy tasting beers and wish to know a little more about the variety in beers and what gives them different flavours.

And new this year for the many fans of cider, there was a Cider and Perry Tasting, taking a tour through 6 ciders and what makes them distinctive.

Drinks are bought using tokens available at the festival. This festival operates a cash-less bar.

Friday 27 May 11 am – 11pm

Saturday 28 May 11 am – 11pm

Charity Fundraising

The breweriana stall, donated beer tokens and cash donations raised a fantastic £587 for Severn Area Rescue Association
